How are Baltimore therapists licensed?

To become a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor or Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor in Maryland, applicants must earn a master’s or doctoral degree in a professional counseling field from an accredited college or university. Master’s level applicants must complete at least 3,000 hours of supervised clinical experience, and doctoral applicants must complete at least 2,000 hours. All applicants must pass the National Counselors Examination of the National Board for Certified Counselors and the State Law Test.
