My story began in 2001 in Singapore, where newly married and deeply engaged in Church missions. Inspired by Patch Adams, Mother Teresa, and the biblical wisdom of giving, I and my wife sought to contribute more to society. This calling led them to Hawkstone Hall in the UK for reflection and clarity. Returning to Singapore, they volunteered in school missions, nurturing their desire to make a difference. Their journey took them to India, where they raised a family and ran a palliative care hospice for HIV/AIDS patients, worked with schools, and the village. Realizing the importance of proper training, Karl pursued a postgraduate diploma in counseling, a Masters in Clinical Psychology, and an extra degree in law. After over 20 years of service in India, they returned to Singapore in 2021. In 2021, they registered Listening Ear Counselling & Consultancy Pte Ltd Singapore, focusing on unparalleled psychological services with warmth, authenticity, and compassion. They specialize in outpatient, individualized psychological care, prioritizing healing and growth. At Listening Ear, they provide a sanctuary—a safe and welcoming space where individuals, families, and couples can find solace, guidance, and hope. They understand the importance of feeling heard, seen, and supported, ensuring that no one feels alone. Their doors are always open, offering a compassionate presence, understanding, and a sense of belonging.
