About Anika Heaverlo

The most healing and impactful aspect of therapy is the unique relationship built between client and therapist. I strive for and cherish the safe and caring bond built in the therapeutic space. In session with me, you can expect to be challenged, empowered and encouraged through my use of natural curiosity, warmth, honesty, and individualized care. I specialize in working with individuals struggling to handle change or the big (or not so big) “question marks” in life. Those who spend too much of their precious time analyzing if what they said to their coworker was “too much”, and those who close their eyes at night and find their minds is running a million miles a minute thinking about anything and everything that could go wrong. I have a passion to help the highly motivated people pleasers and perfectionist’s live a more freeing and present life. I also work diligently with those who are burnt out find a more balanced existence. Equally, I have a passion for walking through the winding path of grief with those who have lost someone, or something, dear to them, ensuring they know they are not alone in their grief no matter how isolating it feels. Through my use of empathy and humor, clients can feel understood when living with anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, burnout, relationship issues, LGBTQ+ related issues, and establishing a greater sense of self. I use an eclectic and holistic approach to therapy to help address these issues and to help my clients find a new sense of peace in their lives. I utilize primarily a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Feminist Approach to therapy, attachment theory, person centered therapy, and mindfulness to assist my clients in achieving their unique goals. I look at each client as an individual, exploring the many components and intersecting areas of their lives to support them in managing or decreasing their mental health related struggles. Reach out today for a free 15 minute consultation to connect and discuss your goals. I hope to speak with you soon. It is time for you to come into view, to emerge from old ways of living and into a new light.
