About Rachel Joseph

Rachel has experience working with a diverse array of clients and community environments throughout her career, and is currently here to hold space for teens and adults who are seeking change, growth, and resolution through counseling. Rachel is informed and affirming of some distinct communities and unique experiences, and their intersectionality. Rachel is neurodivergent affirming, and sensitive to late in life diagnoses of ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder. Experienced in addiction recovery and assessments for potential substance use/ misuse disorders, as well as support in ongoing sobriety/ recovery journeys. Rachel supports individuals working through strained and conflictual family relationships. (Young adults 16+, and older). Rachel is supportive of clients who have experienced religious trauma & spiritual abuse, helping individuals cope with the emotional and social barriers created by high-demand/ high-control groups and religious organizations. She is also supportive of teens and adults recovering from chronic trauma & dysfunction occurring during adolescent development. Additional topics of interest and experience in counseling are assisting individuals with exploring needs related to equity and respect associated with experiences of women in the community, who may be impacted by social or cultural expectations; and providing an LGBTQ+ affirming space that is safe and validating of individual experiences and identities relating to gender and sexuality. ​
