About Nikkol Adams

I am a Registered Clinical Counselor and Certified Yoga Instructor. With over 10 years of experience supporting individuals with unique mental health concerns, I have developed a deep passion for bringing congruence between the mind and body connection and direct my energy towards helping individuals understand their emotional and physical experience through the use of conversation and movement. It can be difficult reaching out for support and giving yourself the space to reflect on what you need. For that, I recognize the courage it has taken for you to get here and the willingness to be open. I believe understanding your human experience is the path towards healing. Therefore, wonder, acceptance, and compassion are core values of my approach. When we become more self-reflective towards our physical, emotional, and spiritual self, and learn how to reveal our self-expression, we are more capable of creating long lasting change in our life. As your counsellor, my primary objective is to create a safe, compassionate, non-judgemental, and confidential space for healing to take place. I take the time to fully understand your concerns and work alongside you to ensure my approaches are designed to meet your unique needs. My priority is to ensure you feel supported as we work together to discover your strengths and resources. I strive to facilitate opportunities for you to claim your empowerment by providing one-on-one support, through which you learn about mental health and well-being, develop the necessary skills for managing your concerns, and cultivate a deeper sense of self-awareness. Each persons path towards healing and wellness is as unique and individual as their thumb print. For this reason, I use an integrative approach to therapy, drawing from several healing modalities to help facilitate personal exploration and growth. In this process you are the expert in knowing what you need and I am a guide to help explore alternative perspectives in order for you to create the space for your wellness journey.
