LaMonica Hodges, MSN, APRN, FNP-C

I am LaMonica, an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. I was born and raised in Mississippi, and my educational journey began at Gentry High School. In 2009, I earned my Practical Nursing Certification from Coahoma Community College, and I continued my education by obtaining an Associates Degree in Nursing from Hinds Community College in 2012. Progressing further, I completed a Master’s Degree of Science in Nursing in 2015 at Walden University. Throughout my nursing career, my primary focus has been in Family Medicine. I started as a staff nurse at a local Health Center and later worked as a Registered Nurse in the field, initially as a home health nurse. Subsequently, I became the owner of an allied health school, specializing in training CNAs, MAs, Phlebotomists, and Pharmacy Techs. Following the completion of my master’s program, I ventured into an independent practice as a Nurse Practitioner before deciding to attend Medical School three years later. Currently, I am in my fourth year as a medical student at Washington University of Health and Science. Concurrently, I am pursuing my third Master’s degree for Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at Wilkes University, with an expected completion date of April 2024. In my leisure time, I find joy in traveling with my family and cozying up with a good movie.
