About Julian Murillo
Julian Murillo is an LPC-Associate supervised by Dr. Rosemary Hernandez located in the Dallas area and is available for video sessions. As a graduate student intern, he provided counseling to survivors of intimate partner violence and worked with their children using Nondirective Play Therapy. As a graduate student, he trained in Client Centered therapy and Gestalt therapy.
Julian has nearly a decade of experience working with young adults transitioning into and out of college.
As an LPC-Associate, he is refining his skills in short-term counseling using Solution-Focused Brief therapy and Motivational Interviewing. He understands the value in keeping an open mind and welcomes the opportunity for new approaches.
Julian has a Master of Science degree in Counseling from Texas A&M University – Commerce (2015), a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from the University of North Texas (2013), and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from The University of Alabama (2010). When he is not working in higher education or counseling clients, he is watching classic science-fiction series, trying out new recipes in the kitchen, and exploring different ways to stay active.
