About Megan Chapman

Dr. Chapman earned a Bachelor of Art in Psychology and Public Relations from Coe College (2013), Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Mt. Mercy University (2016), and a PhD in Couple and Family Therapy from Adler University (2020). Her professional experience includes clinical care in private practice and community mental health, field and academic research, and teaching. Dr. Chapman is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). As a behavioral and mental health therapist, Dr. Chapman specializes in working with clients with family medical problems, unresolved conflict, trauma, and loss. She also specializes in couples’ issues, such as communication, culture and family identity, and relationship wounds and repair. Dr. Chapman has training in therapeutic parenting and Parenting in SPACE. Her experience and training have focused on systemic problems, individual and family identity development, and trauma and loss. Dr. Chapman uses systems theory, Interpersonal Neurobiology, Internal Family Systems, and Experiential therapy. Her hope for her clients is to live an intentional, value-based life that simply feels good.
