About Alicia Godinez
Alicia earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (2012), Bachelor of Science in Family and Human Development (2012), and a Master of Advanced Study in Marriage and Family Therapy (2016) from Arizona State University. She has experience in community mental health working with adults, adolescents, couples, and families from diverse backgrounds. Alicia is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and able to provide counseling/therapy services in Spanish.
As a behavioral and mental health therapist, Alicia has a passion for working with individuals, couples, and families who may be going through a difficult season, experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, loss, communication issues, family conflict, and personal growth. Alicia uses Family Systems Theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), Couples Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, EMDR Therapy (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing), and Strength based approach to help her clients reach their goals. Alicia’s style is warm and compassionate. Her hope is that every individual/family gets to live a life that feels genuine and true to themselves.
