About Stephanie Clanton

Stephanie has been a counselor in several settings since 2010. She received her Bachelor's in Family Science from Louisiana Tech University and a Master's in Counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary. Before working at White Rock Therapy, Stephanie has been in private practice within the Dallas/Ft. Worth area and has also been the Counseling Director for a Dallas-based non-profit agency helping those affected by commercial sexual exploitation and sex trafficking. Stephanie specializes in treating and working with those who have experienced trauma, anxiety-based disorders, PTSD, depression, relationship struggles, dissociative disorders, and family members of addicts and alcoholics. Stephanie stands out as a leading trauma therapist in therapy and mental health. Elisabeth Kubler-Ross states, "The most beautiful people we have known are those who have known defeat, known suffering, known struggle, known loss, and have found their way out of those depths." As a trauma-informed therapist, Stephanie understands that many have experienced great hardships and significant losses, and she helps clients to find meaning and empowerment in their experiences. In the therapy process, past traumas can serve as a catalyst for profound personal growth and transformation.
