About Angela Presto
I work with couples and individuals on improving their relationships and quality of life, and therapists on managing a number of experiences that come up through their work.
You may have arrived here if your relationship is transitioning into a new stage of life, recovering from an affair, struggles with communication, feels disconnected and fragmented, is experiencing a loss of sexual and emotional intimacy, is experiencing a loss of desire or is no longer as exciting, feels like its future is in question, or is part of the polyamorous or LGBTQ+ community and navigating various tensions. Or you may have arrived here as a fellow therapist because you have concerns about burnout, countertransference, graduate school, being "good enough", and various experiences that show up in your work.
For couples, I help you develop relational intelligence for improved relationships quality of life, and address topics such as romance, communication, power/control, care/closeness, and others. For therapists, I work on rediscovering and reworking the approach to being a person and therapist, while realigning with your identity and values.
As someone who is married and a therapist, I understand the modern day struggles couples and therapists face, as well as what it means to create and maintain connections with ourselves and others. As a therapist, I am very honest, direct, and genuine, and I become excited about any number of topics when working with clients. I find therapy exciting and a space for exploration, curiosity, and development, but also a space where you can develop through challenging yourself and having fun.
