About Chris de Feijter

We’re all driven by a unique purpose in life. The journey to accomplishing that purpose is not straight or smooth or even remotely clear sometimes. I work with deep, insightful people who are experiencing a disconnect: where stress, anxiety, or overwhelm is causing them to feel out of alignment with who they truly are. In therapy, we focus on more than just getting better. We work on going deeper, in order to emerge with a greater understanding of who you are and what you offer the world. I’ll also challenge you to be your best self. I will never shy away from sharing my own experiences or mistakes if you can benefit from them, and, above all, I am willing to get into — and sit in — the “uncomfortable” right alongside you. Counselling is about learning to be a human in relationship with others. With me, you’ll find a safe, non-judgmental space to practice that. My goal is that you leave every session feeling that your time was productive and well spent. This will look different every week — therapy doesn’t have to be a rigid step-by-step process — from simply processing the events of the past week to diving more deeply in past experiences, or using exercises to cultivate a new skill to use in your day-to-day life. I am looking forward to working with you!
