About Lane Assaf

I am a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist who is passionate about helping clients heal from trauma, and working with couples to improve communication and intimacy. As a Certified Level I Gottman Method Couples Therapist, one of my passions is working with couples to improve communication and increase intimacy. I also find great fulfillment in working with individuals who have extensive trauma histories, particularly those who struggle with PTSD and C-PTSD, childhood abuse and neglect, and sexual trauma. I am LGBTQ+ affirming, and provide an empathetic, trauma informed, supportive, safe space for clients to explore their inner world, while helping them recognize their strengths and develop new coping strategies for the future. I have both a Master’s Degree in Psychology from CSULA, as well as a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from Touro University. I am a parent and a Highly Sensitive Person, and enjoy working with others who identify as HSPs. If any of this resonates with you, I would love to set up a free 15 minute consultation to see if we are a good fit.
