About Sandy Kong

Nourishment Mental Health offers mental health services to teens, adults, and couples. Additional services include Ketamine Assisted Therapy as well as Psychedelic integration sessions. I enjoy being a catalyst for change and healing. I strive to provide supportive, nourishing, and genuine care to all my clients. It comes from a place of truly wanting people to heal and grow. I believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to grow at their own individual pace and to let acceptance and safety direct their learning and healing. I operate from a trauma-informed lense & being culturally sensitive. My therapeutic process is to provide the opportunity and space for people to heal and find hope, despite hardships. The best part of being a therapist for me, is being able to be a part of someone’s journey; walking alongside them and empowering them to develop, heal, and grow. I am always so honored and humbled to witness the resilience of people. My passion and joy comes from being able to recognize strengths in others and it feels fulfilling when I can help them see it within themselves. My overall approach is client-centered, trauma-informed, and strengths based. Other modalities I use are the Inner Child model, CBT, DBT, Narrative therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Holistic Psychotherapy, and Family Systems Therapy. I like to work from a place of integrating our mind, body, and spirit. I've had the opportunity to gain experience working with youth, individuals, and families of all ages with diverse cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds. I have experience working with Trauma, Complex Trauma, Grief/Loss, Anxiety, Depression, and Substance Abuse. My background includes working with domestic violence, victims of homicide, victims of crime, borderline personality disorder, sexual assault, immigrants, first-generation, second-generation, substance use and co-occurring disorders.
