About Brittney Gibson
I worked in the human services field for over 10 years in variety of
different settings including: foster care, school/community-based programs,
inpatient psychiatric hospital, homeless shelter, and a residential treatment facility.
I have experience working with children and adults of all different ages,
ethnicities, and cultural backgrounds.
Trained as a Dance/Movement Psychotherapist and Licensed Creative Arts Therapist, I utilize movement and
body-based awareness practices to encompass the whole self in the therapeutic
process. Movement is our first language and is a powerful tool that allows us to
reconnect to our bodies, ground ourselves, and navigate new pathways that
facilitate healing and change.
I have a true passion for helping clients improve their quality of life through a client-
centered/strength-based approach, rooted in psychodynamic theory. I work in
collaboration with clients to support their journey of gaining deeper insight into their
experiences which can assist in developing and maintaining a healthier, stronger
sense of self, as well as more meaningful relationships with others. Through
compassionate and empathetic care, I support each individuals journey towards
emotional well-being and healing.
