About Haya Alshawa

I'm a Registered Psychotherapist. I have experience working with people who struggle with anxiety, depression, body image and relationships. Life can be very challenging sometimes, to the point where we wonder why everything always seems to go wrong. Are you worried or overwhelmed by life's challenges? Do you feel stressed, exhausted or low? I am here to help and support you; I use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). And I tailor my intervention and treatment plans to your needs. I emphasize the here-and-now perspective by focusing on your current circumstances and touching on your past to determine what might be holding you back and how to retake control of your life. I believe that we all deserve to live our best life. we all have stories to tell and struggles to overcome. My experience has been working with marginalized and vulnerable clients and supporting them throughout their journey. I've learned so far that no matter how hard life can be on us, it is always possible to heal and start a new chapter. I have a passion for working with clients from diverse backgrounds. I am here to support you and offer you a compassionate, non-judgmental and safe space to share your story. I aim to build genuine and trusting therapeutic relationships based on openness, trust and empathy. If you are experiencing conflicts in your life and relationship that seem impossible to resolve, I can help you explore them, work on your communication, improve your interactions, and resolve conflicts. I am bilingual with fluency in English and Arabic. We will work together to set goals and find resources to help you
