About Lara Barbir

The people in your life see this strong and positive side of you, but on the inside you're feeling lost, confused, isolated, and like you don't know how much longer you can keep up this façade before the suffering starts to leak out and you lose complete control. Most clients with whom I work are struggling with depression, anxiety, insomnia, chronic pain and disability, general stress, and/or trauma/PTSD, problems which often come to the forefront following recent relational, work, and life stressors. I'm here to help you find your truth and commit to the meaningful journey of reaching your most empowered and authentic self. My approach is genuine, compassionate, flexible, and both backed by science and connected to you as a unique human. I have obtained specialized training in multiple evidence-based treatments for the struggles above. While I especially enjoy implementing EMDR and IPT with clients, I integrate mindfulness, interpersonal, and cognitive-behavioral approaches, tailoring treatment to your needs, language, and preferences. I'm so glad you're here, which speaks to your courage. Speaking from my own personal journey, continuing to lean into that courage despite its discomfort is worth more than you could ever imagine. I strive to create a space in which you feel seen, heard, valued, and understood in such a way that you're willing to keep leaning in to your growth and healing.
