About Tamara Halperin

My passions include working with parents, people who have experienced trauma, and clients who struggle with anxiety. Within parenting, I focus on helping children and parents form healthy relationships and manage difficult behaviors through strengths-based integrative approaches. Together, we will explore the impact past experiences have on your thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and relationships. We will then build upon the resiliency you already posses to create meaningful change. I am passionate about working with youth, families, and adults to help foster a sense of balance, begin healing, and promote growth. I utilize a cognitive behavioral, integrative approach, with a trauma informed lens and an emphasis on evidence based therapies. As a certified TF-CBT therapist, I will help you explore the impact past experiences have on your thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and relationships. We will then build upon the resiliency you already posses to create meaningful change. Parents are never given a handbook on how to parent their child. So what do you do when they act out, have a tantrum, or struggle emotionally? As a certified PCIT clinician, I can help you learn positive parenting skills to help enhance your relationship with your child and provide appropriate discipline strategies to manage difficult behaviors. I believe that finding a therapist who is the "right fit" for you is key to a successful therapeutic process. My treatment approach is warm, authentic, and collaborative, specifically tailored to creating a safe non-judgmental atmosphere. Let me be your ally and support you in becoming the best version of yourself.
