About Jannelle Heard
I am a mindfulness teacher, a psychotherapist, a mother of two young adults, and a lover of the outdoors. I am passionate about working with those impacted by traumatic experiences, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. I utilize Mindfulness stress reducing strategies, EMDR- Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (SAFE approach), and Problem-Solving Therapy to assist with moving beyond the past, building satisfying relationships in the present, maximizing the simple pleasures of life, and setting intention for tomorrow. I enjoy working with those in early adulthood through middle adulthood.
I completed my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from California State University, Stanislaus in 2013. I began working in the mental health field in 2014, while in my Counseling Psychology Master’s Degree program. I graduated from CSU Stanislaus with a Masters Degree of Science in 2016. I am a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist practicing in the State of California, and a current member of California Association of Marriage Family Therapists (CAMFT). I am trained in EMDR (SAFE approach), and a current member of EMDR International Association (EMDRIA). I have a history of providing Surrogacy Support Counseling for gestational carriers, and affiliation with American Socially for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), and ASRM Mental Health Professional Group (MHPG).
