About Veronica Saulog-Berry

I started in the behavioral health field in 2007, working in the social services sector. I have experience in residential and hospital settings, community-based services as well as private practice. I find working with my clients fulfilling because it energizes me to see them heal and learn to navigate life challenges that once impeded their path. My treatment philosophy is based on our capacity to heal. My primary means of treatment is EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). EMDR reprocesses traumatic memories. Our brains use thought patterns to bring ideas, feelings and sensations to the forefront without discrimination. In instances of unresolved trauma, our ability to move forward in our lives is blocked, because thought patterns allow past trauma to continue to be replayed as if happening in the present. I collaborate with my clients via EMDR to reprocess trauma, allowing the brain to let natural healing occur. I am a Certified EMDR Therapist through EMDRIA (EMDR International Association). I am trauma-informed and I utilize ego state work/parts, somatic, and attachment theory with EMDR to treat trauma and other distressing life experiences. I also have experience in other therapeutic modalities such as Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Family Systems, and Solution-Focused Therapy.
