About Sarah Williams

As a Licensed Professional Counselor I am passionate about helping individuals learn and accept who they are, overcome barriers and create a life that feels authentic and fulfilling to them. I believe the relationship between the therapist and client is the most important part of therapy and I strive to be warm, validating and nonjudgmental. I view my clients as fellow humans rather than diagnoses or labels and I recognize that there are external factors that contribute to how each of us think, feel and behave. Sometimes just feeling seen, heard and accepted for who you really are can be healing in and of itself. I recognize that my clients are the experts in their lives, and I utilize a collaborative, gentle approach to meet them wherever they may be in their journey. By feeling comfortable to share and explore freely we can look at how past experiences and unconscious thoughts may be affecting you in the present. I became a therapist as a result of my personal experience in therapy, so I know how it feels to be on the other side and the positive transformation that therapy can bring. Therapy helps people recognize the power they have within themselves and I am honored to be a part of that experience.
