About Abby Wilson
I primarily work with young professional women who are navigating various life challenges, including anxiety, existential concerns, relationship issues, life transitions, or processing difficult childhood experiences. My style in therapy is a collaborative and humanistic approach. I meet my clients with genuine curiosity to understand you as a human - not to focus solely on the presenting symptoms, but to better understand you as a whole and uncover the root cause behind the symptoms. I incorporate values of compassion, nonjudgmental acceptance, and mindfulness into my practice.
I assist my clients with gaining insight into how experiences have been internalized and often left unresolved, and to work towards creating a life that is in line with their core values. While I primarily utilize an attachment oriented approach, I pull from a range of modalities to individualize each client's treatment.
Our experiences can heavily impact how we feel about ourselves and the world around us. Therapy is a space to explore how we have internalized our experiences, to better understand our defense mechanisms, and shift narratives and behaviors that are no longer serving us.
