About Roger Lin

We live in a world that can get messy at times. My approach for therapy is to provide you a safe place to navigate life, process, heal, and grow. Therapy is a form of help that addresses various kinds of issues such as depression, anxiety, trauma, difficulties with life transitions, and relational and family conflicts. The goals for therapy can range from the relief of your symptoms to making significant life changes. The process of therapy includes developing skills to address your emotions, thoughts, core beliefs, and behaviors. Therapy provides the opportunity to gain insight and a better understanding of your personal, social, professional, and spiritual identity. My framework to therapy is holistic health taking into account your mental, emotional, physical, relational, and spiritual well-being. My therapy methods are based on the best evidence-based practices in the research and training of psychologists, marriage and family therapists, social work, and professional counselors. I earned a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the APA-accredited Practitioner-Scholar doctoral program at Wheaton College (Wheaton, IL). My training includes the following clinical sites: University counseling center, Partial hospitalization program, Intensive outpatient program, Behavioral health inpatient unit, and Outpatient mental health center. I completed my doctoral internship at Salina Regional Medical Center (KS) which included providing therapy to active duty soldiers at Fort Riley. My post-doctoral training was completed at the Samaritan Center of Puget Sound (Seattle, WA). Personally, I am married and have two children. I enjoy sports, cooking, and spending times outdoors.
