About Stacey Cooper

I have been working with community members in the Treasure Valley since 2000. I have served in the community as a Guardian Ad Litem and at the Department of Health and Welfare, Third District Courts and at several school districts. I have been providing counseling services specifically since 2018. I am a lifelong learner and prioritize providing ethical and informed care to my clients. I believe that counseling is the process of working towards understanding yourself so you can heal old wounds and hurts in order to move to overall health and happiness. I use empowerment and strengths based interventions. I am an LGBTQ+ affirming provider. I am a compassionate and encouraging Therapist and an attentive listener . I am direct when appropriate to provide honest and helpful feedback. In sessions, I teach coping skills and problem solving skills through interactive activities to engage clients at any age. I offer specialized care in depression, anxiety, self-esteem, peer relationships, social skills, behavioral issues, family conflict, self-harming/suicidal issues, eating disorders, child abuse, sexual abuse, domestic violence, anger management, attachment issues, parenting skills, LGBTQ+ issues and religious trauma, but my passion is working with neurodivergent and "twice exceptional" people of all ages.
