I am here for the average person who has seen and experienced events which are not average. Events which you cannot just “forget.” Struggling with sleeplessness, dreams of being there, always trying to get your brain to shut down so you can relax, feeling shame, guilt, anger, and numbness…they didn’t prepare you for this. Having images just push their way into your brain reminding you of that thing, those people, that feeling. They teach you how to do your job, but not how to deal with the consequences. You are fine when surrounded by others who understand, but when you have to go home or lose that comradery and you feel inadequate. Once you accept how much control you really can have in your recovery...and take responsibility to learn the tools... you can turn things around. You can do things that you want to do rather than accepting that you are going to be damaged and struggle with certain things. You can connect with your family again and be happy. I specialize in trauma therapy and use EMDR, TF:CBT, CPT, etc. I offer teletherapy for anyone located in California and Idaho who is ready to get better. Teletherapy enables you to have your appointments privately and flexibly from wherever you need to do them. I also do psychological testing in Redding California (with some options for teletherapy testing)
