About Sarah Maleck

Hi! I’m Sarah Maleck. I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Licensed Professional Counselor with a passion for helping people get “unstuck” in their lives and their relationships. Feeling stuck and unsure of where to go or what to do next can be extremely frustrating and upsetting. It distracts our focus from the other things going on in our lives and can consume our thoughts and energy. What should I do? Is this what I want for my life? Should I stay? Should I leave? It feels exhausting going back and forth contemplating what to do only to end up feeling discouraged, uncertain, and without a clear plan for change. The list of possible “what-ifs” can take over and can lead to feelings of anxiety, depression, hopelessness, all of which can spillover into other areas of life and keep us from feeling like we are at our best. I think we’ve all been in that difficult place to some degree at one point in our lives. It’s stressful, annoying, and scary, but it can be so worth it! In fact, if I hadn’t been feeling stuck and looking for my own change, Maleck Therapy would likely not exist (and I wouldn’t be sitting here agonizing over what to write to tell you about myself). I firmly believe that clients are the experts on their own lives and it is important for the therapy process to reflect this. Using a client-centered approach, I help people identify their strengths and needs, and use these to find insight into ways to live their best life. I would love the opportunity to help you find your way towards change and support you throughout this difficult but rewarding process.
