Hi, my name is Jean Jho and I am a Clinical Psychologist licensed in California. I love working with adults of all ages who want more than a set of tools to deal with their symptoms/distress and are invested in understanding the deeper root of their symptoms. Oftentimes, my clients complain of feeling anxious, depressed, in pain, and overwhelmed despite their logical side telling them that they are "overthinking," "being crazy," or "making a big deal out of nothing." Sometimes these harsh voices can also come from loved ones in a genuine attempt to soothe, but the relief is temporary and the distress seems to come right back. I don't assume to know all the answers of what is causing you pain. It would be great if I could, don't get me wrong. However, I'm a firm believer that feelings and reaction do not just emerge from nowhere and are a product of deeper conflicts, experiences, and patterns that you may not always be aware of. I enjoy working collaboratively and with curiosity so that you can also approach yourself with gentle curiosity and compassion. We might not connect all the dots at once and that's okay.
