About Ellen Castleman

I offer a dynamic and caring approach to therapy that actively engages adolescents, young adults and adults in uncovering barriers to enjoying a full and balanced life. I provide an environment where clients can learn to manage stress, sadness, loneliness and disappointment in healthy ways, while making concrete behavioral changes and positive choices. My clients have experienced positive changes that have led to increased happiness and fulfillment with their lives and goals. Relationships with others are improved, and family life becomes more functional and harmonious.

I specialize in working with adolescents and young adults grappling with the difficult demands and influences of today's society. I readily establish connections that convey my genuine acceptance of their feelings and perspective. This provides a setting that is comfortable and conducive to discussing real feelings and concerns, and allows change to take place.

Other areas of focus include depression, anxiety, self esteem, boundaries, parenting, primary and social relationships, recovery (soothing with food, co-dependency, ACA), and bereavement. I work with individuals and couples, adults and adolescents.
