About Elizabeth Read

April 2021: Please note that I do offer virtual counseling (via phone, Zoom or similar platform, and FaceTime). Please contact me by phone at (609) 896-2728.

Over the course of 40 years, I have worked with individuals of all ages, couples, families and groups - people presenting with a wide spectrum of concerns and issues. I enjoy very much the practice of clinical social work and focus on individual and couples counseling/therapy with people 18 years and older (and out of high school). My clinically diverse background has equipped me with a broad understanding of people and appreciation for the uniqueness of each person with whom I work.  Rather than emphasizing "diagnosis", I focus on the individual's/family's strengths and desire for self-understanding, problem-resolution, and change.  The nature of my practice is such that I am not able to provide crisis services or evaluations/records for any external purpose (eg., disability, legal, etc.).
