About Risa Sanders

I have been a Licensed Psychologist for over 25 years. Being part of my client's journey is a privilege I take very seriously. I am devoted to creating a warm and caring atmosphere where you can express your feelings, clarify your needs and goals, establish clear expectations, and develop the tools and skills to help you ahieve your healthiest potential. I believe humor and creativity are essential ingredients, and, while I primarily utilize a cognitive-behavioral approach, I believe in using a flexible process that incorporates the best of all systems in psychology. My special areas of interest include anxiety disorders such as OCD, panic attacks, social anxiety, and phobias, as well as family conflict, coping with divorce, ADD/ADHD, school concerns, bullying, behavioral issues/habits and over-indulgence (spending, internet, substances, etc;), parent training, and identity issues, among others. Please feel welcome to call to discuss your particular needs and interests, and I am very glad to answer any questions you might have about my practice.
