About Dorian Mintzer

I work with people in life transitions. I primarily work with men, women and couples to help them navigate the "second half of life." We're living longer and the landscape of retirement is changing. Many people don't want to retire, others can't afford to retire, others are ready to embark on their "retirement transition" and still others have retired and, down the road, have begun to feel that "somethig is missing." The goal is devlop a "realistic optimism" and figure out how to live your life in a way that's good for you and to hopefully feel "no regrets" at the end of your life. I believe in embracing your "bonus years" as a time to grow, learn and evolve.  I intergrate my understanding of life transitions, adult development, positive psychology and holistic life planning with my 50 + years of clinical experience and my life experiences. I co-authored the book The Couple's Reirement Puzzle and have contributed to other books. I work with individuals as well as couples and am thinking about starting two groups--one for couples and one for women. --with the belief that well-beng is a combination of connection, engagement and purpose and meaning.
