About Jane Green

Sometimes life hurts and I want to help with healing and acceptance.

I enjoy helping families, individuals, adolescents.  I work with men's issues and women's issues.

I work to help families endure and understand the pain and anger of divorce. I strive to promote healing and peace.  I am trained as a Collaborative Divorce Specialist.  This involves agreeing not to litigate but to craft a settlement.  There are many positive aspects to divorcing without litigation.  It is less expensive, less painful for children, parents and families.

I work with children whose parents are contemplating separation or divorce.

My goal is to help with communication leading to peaceful outcomes in families who have separated or divorced.

I work with couples thinking of separation, change or divorce and present options helping to preserve the marriage and family if appropriate.  I provide focused therapy to couples in crisis who want to preserve an intact family.

My years of experience have refined my ability to help others.   I am trained as a  family mediator and bring the skills of negotiation as well as my mental health  training to my clients.

I work with parents after divorce/separation, finding ways to communicate with each other in the best interests of the children.

I have met the requirements of the State of Florida and of the Twelfth Judicial Circuit to evaluate, assess and provide a written report to the court which is called a Social Investigation.

I offer a Brief Focused Assessment which addresses a specific issue.  An issue may be something parents cannot agree upon, such as medication, the school attended.  A Brief Focused Assessment is to be a specific issue and is not as comprehensive or as costly as a social investigation (custody evaluation).

Forensic work includes appearing and testifying in court or at depositions related to social investigations; parenting time issues and co-parenting  problems.

I work to standards developed by the Association for the Family and Conciliation Courts and the APA.  I do not offer psychological testing.  I am licensed to diagnose and treat through interview, observation and interaction.

I am licensed by the Florida Department of Health as are all Mental Health Professionals practicing in Florida.  My license can be found on the Medical Quality Assurance section of the Department of Health web site.  My license is free of public complaint or disciplinary action.

I do not prescribe medication but may refer out if necessary.

I do an initial no charge phone consultation and may provide referrals and information to another provider or educator to suit your needs.

Committees:  Past President and Board Member of Family Court Professional Collaborative, (FCPC).  An organization devoted to identifying and serving the needs of Parents and Children involved in Family Law situations in a collaborative effort of legal, mental health and financial professionals.
