About Jane Gold
Using my interactive style, I create a warm and open environement for a short or long term exploration into your life transitions and challenges, while empowering your strengths. I use an intergrated treatment approach, combining insight into emotional patterns with cognitive and behavioral techniques. Working collaboratively with other professionals, I can help make diagnostic assessments. In my 30 plus years of practice I have focused on interpersonal problems, work and family issues, depression and anxiety. I am trained in the area of AD/HD with adults and the family effected.
Particular areas of interest and experience include parenting, divorce/grief, LGBTQ +, aging/seniors, professional growth as well as addiction/Twelve Steps. Always developing as a psychotherapist, I am active in several professional societies and serve on the Met Chapter Board of the NY State Society for Clinical Social Work (NYSSCSW).
