About Julie Brody Magid

Hello. I am a clinical neuropsychologist who provides psychological and neuropsychological evaluations for people with a range of presenting problems including traumatic brain injury/concussion, movement disorders, memory disorders/dementias, ADHD/executive functioning problems, and psychiatric illnesses. Throughout my career, I obtained extensive training and experience in academic medical centers and psychiatric hospitals. As a neuropsychologist, I take cognitive, emotional, and psychosocial issues into account with my patients and think about issues in an integrated way.  I try to use information gathered in an evaluation to make practical recommendations that will improve quality of life and appropriate access to resources/care.

In my practice, I also treat many patients with medical/neurological problems. Treatment interventions include cognitive coaching/rehabilitation with an emphasis on using strategies to compensate for problem areas, psychotherapy to promote emotional adjustment, and management of difficult behaviors. I have many years of experience working with individuals with mood disorders and other emotional issues and use a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approach combined with more in-depth therapy, as needed.
