Amanda Farris, LCSW
About Amanda Farris
I work with people across the lifespan as they work to move through difficult situations. Most of my clients are healing from religious trauma or looking to redefine their spiritual journey. I enjoying working alongside wonderful humans who are looking to overcome traumatic experiences (physical, emotional, sexual, religious) to find healing through personal empowerment.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Florida and a yoga teacher (200 hour). I know you are capable and strong, and my role is to guide you back to that belief. I operate from a humanistic and ecological perspective to encourage an understanding of your whole self. I may utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, parts of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, or Narrative Therapy in sessions to demonstrate a connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. You steer the ship, and I'm here to safely guide you on your journey.
I am an anti-racist, LGBTQ+ ally, religious trauma survivor and advocate. I believe everyone's source of light and ticket to freedom is held within, and I aim to help you unpack all the stuff that's buried it deep down. You do not have to go about your journey alone.
