About Abigail Buteau

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Florida. I have 5 year experience working with clients in various stages of life. As a counselor I have worked with individuals who have had major mental health, substance abuse as well as some who were dual diagnosed. I have worked with children and families from the Foster Care system that have experienced abuse, abandonment, neglect and complex trauma. In addition to their trauma I have also worked with families and children to address thier adoption related challenges. As a counselor my approach is to work with the clients in a partnership to explore solutions to what the client identifies as their challenge. My goal is to work together with each client to build a safe and therapeutic environment. My therapeutic approach is solution focused while also allowing the client to lead the direction of the session.
