Hi, My name is Angela Mitchell. I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and a Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling from Lindenwood University in St. Charles Missouri. Life can be difficult for all of us. During those times, the assistance of a trained counselor provides effective support to sort through your options, and to make choices true to your life goals and values. Counseling offers you a time and place to reassess and restore balance to your life. I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) who has had the privilege of gaining counseling experience for over 14 years in a variety of Mental Health settings including being employed as a 24hr crisis line worker, residential counselor, intake coordinator for medical stabilization services, drug court treatment professional, a caregiver for non-medical home care. I have experience in counseling individuals, couples and facilitating groups. Some of the modalities that I may include in therapy are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Client-Centered Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Therapy, and Psychotherapy. With compassion, empathy and understanding, my desire is to encourage you and walk with you in order to help aid you with finding balance in your life. Change for the better can sometimes be challenging but the payoff has the potential to resolve issues, experience greater clarity, confidence, and certainty. I look forward to meeting and working with you!
