About Sharon Macholan

I am licensed in Nebraska with 27 years of professional work experience. My experience includes private practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker as well as working for larger organizations. I also have an advanced degree in School Psychology which allows me to work in the school setting. Teens, couples, and individuals of all ages have sat on the couch! Now I hope to reach the people who prefer the privacy of talking to a therapist from their own home, knowing insurance companies are not interfering in their therapy process. You can live in outstate Nebraska and work with a seasoned therapist who you will not meet on the street or in the store! My years of continuing professional education includes working with teens, suicide prevention, Divorce Busting, cognitive behavior therapy, behavior activation therapy, and family therapy. I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, relationship issues, family conflicts, grief, women who want to emerge from a smothering relationship, career changes, and parenting issues. My school psychology experience supporting parents and teens in the education setting is useful if you are navigating special education or accommodation plans. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment.
