I received my Masters’ of Social Work in 2010 from The University of Alabama and began my career working with the local homeless population my first year after graduate school. I later moved into clinical practice, working for a local organization, working with clients experiencing mental health and substance abuse disorders. I have utilized evidence based practices with the following therapeutic modalities: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Humanistic Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Motivational Interviewing Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Spiritual Integration Counseling, Strength-Based Therapy, and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy. There are so many aspects that affect mental health, and I encourage that all areas be addressed in order to ensure the best possible outcome. I enjoy getting to know my clients and what they want to achieve through therapy so they are able to live their best life. Currently, I am offering live appointments Friday-Sunday, with various times during those days. Live appointment times are typically 45 minute sessions, but can be 30 minutes. I can also offer multiple sessions, but only one per day, per client, and on an as needed basis, based on time availability.
