About Karl Johnson

I am an experienced Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a background in youth, adolescent, adult, couples, and family counseling. I have been practicing for over eight years in Michigan. My training, education, and experience in counseling have provided me with a strong background in both individual and group therapy. I have experience at assessments, intakes, crisis intervention, suicide ideations, mood disorders, trauma, anxiety, depression, family issues, case management, and case consultation. My background has included counseling in cases of suicide, crisis, domestic violence, substance abuse, and child abuse. I have worked with highly dysfunctional family issues such as sexual abuse, learning disabilities, child development, anxiety, and depression. Regardless of the situation I have always provided my clients with the highest quality of care and treatment, treating them with the utmost respect, integrity, and empathy. I have experience in having to make quick decisions in crisis and emergency situations and providing clients direct coping and grounding techniques.
