I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with 6+ years experience working with people who have serious mental illness. I have experience working as a psychotherapist in hospital systems. I have worked with clients experiencing a variety of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, grief and loss, existential crisis, men's issues, ADHD, LGBT-related issues, sexual dysfunction, and communication. My therapy style is warm and interactive. I am open minded and able to work with you on whatever you find important. I can gather what you are thinking: "why should I tell this guy all of my problems, he does not know me, he's going to judge me..." I can tell you-- I am a go with the flow sort of guy and mindful of how counseling can look like interrogation. That's what I would like to avoid in the client-therapist relationship. I believe that a piece of me, as a human, and as a therapist, allows for you to feel comfortable in communicating with me whatever it is on your mind, without feeling judged. Applying a client-centered approach, my goal is to support you in finding the empowerment and autonomy to independently arrive at resiliency in order to find your own unique path to healing. We all have our own unique issues that make us... well… us. I look forward to learning about you, and working with you.
