About Meredith Hrebenak
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a National Certified Counselor (NCC). I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Family Studies from Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee and my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Georgia in Dahlonega, Georgia. I am a current member of the Licensed Professional Counselors Association of Georgia and the American Counseling Association.
Clients have said that they find me calming, easy to talk to, and authentic. I am a culturally sensitive therapist, and my therapy style is influenced by cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), positive psychology, strength-based therapy, solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT), and the feminist and existential theories. Also, when relevant, I enjoy using pop culture and “geek culture” as counseling tools.
In my personal life, I enjoy traveling, reading, going for walks, spending time with my dog and my family, and watching a little too much TV.
