About Patricia Young
Many people who identify as introverts or have anxiety are sometimes Highly Sensitive (it's a real thing!). If you feel like you're not enough (or too much); you get overwhelmed easily and you have a critical voice that's always at you, and you tend to be perfectionistic, I totally get it! If you are a deep feeler, and a deep thinker, you've probably heard that you're too sensitive; you think/worry too much; you can't take a joke, you're too intense or you're too dramatic. I honestly believe that our perceived shortcomings are our superpowers!
I specialize in working with folx who fit the above description. I've developed a model for coaching (and therapy) that is really effective. I'm so passionate about the work I do, that I have a podcast called Unapologetically Sensitive--it's about the strengths we have because of our sensitivity. My tagline is: Sensitivity is nothing to apologize for; it's our superpower! I also run small online groups for Sensitives, and we focus on mindfulness, self-compassion, identifying the negative messages and turning them into superpowers, perfectionism, embracing our emotions, self-care, boundaries, communication, authenticity and vulnerability and creating a lifestyle that honors our needs for more quiet, downtime, and connection with smaller groups of people.
Many of us feel like we should be more assertive or tougher. There's nothing wrong with you! This is how you're wired, and we work together to build on the strengths you have, and teach tools so that you feel more peace and calm.
If you go to my website, I have a number of videos. I also have a youtube channel, and a Pinterest account (links on my website) that have a LOT of information about the things Sensitives come across.
We work together, and you decide where you want to go and what's important to you. I like to be actively involved. I won't sit and nod. I am kind, but will give you feedback because it helps you grow.
I offer a free consult so we can see if we're a good fit!
