Tammy envisioned Harmony Life Centre to be a healing place under one roof for various mental, physical, and spiritual issues that one is experiencing. Tammy’s goal is for the 3 areas to be carefully explored and guided through utilizing many creative elements to promote wellness and restoration in various capacities. One of the creative elements that is used at Harmony is Dance Therapy. Another therapy used is Existentialism (discussing the meaning and purpose in one’s life). Tammy’s approach is person centered in which she provides the guidelines, principles and thought provoking questions in order to build up confidence in one self. Tammy is a believer in Self -Determination and carefully guides clients to reflect, take action and move forward in a positive direction. One way is by using the strength from within called resilience. Resilience is the ability to bounce back after difficult challenges. Tammy guides us in explaining that When we try to block things out that we do not want to think about or deal with- it comes out in other ways and can be unhealthy. This is not resilience. A person may have the ability to move on and be functional, however by not addressing the deep core issues can result in many more problems, bad habits, and self-destructiveness. The good news is resilience might be dormant, but it is there! Inside you. Harmony Life Centre can bring the resilience out and strengthen you to be real and truly resilient. Tammy’s own personal life lessons have increased her knowledge, awareness, and experiences in which have enhanced her professional skills in a greater capacity. Tammy demonstrates this in all her classes and sessions.
