About Georgia Connor

The complexity of being human is what drew me in. I’ve always wanted to know what and why and how humans tick the way we do. I wanted to understand how the things that shape us leave their mark. And what we can do if we don’t like the imprint our history has left on us. I first explored what it means to be human through the lens of neuroscience — completing a Bachelor of Science majoring in Neuroscience and Psychology at the University of Sydney. My goal was to understand how we learn, grow, think and feel. Discovering the brain’s plasticity and our ability to adapt opened a new perspective for me. From there I dived into the world of psychotherapy. A Graduate Diploma of Counselling through The Australian College of Applied Psychology was just the start. Finally! It felt like the things I’d learnt could be applied to real life — to identity, relationships, struggles and most importantly healing. After experiencing the benefits firsthand, I appreciated how everyone deserves to overcome their challenges, be their authentic self and live the life they imagined. Along the way, my own journey of healing and personal therapy has been essential to my work as a therapist. As have transcendental meditation, yoga and immersion in nature. I continually strengthen my skills as a therapist through further training and regular supervision. And now I look forward to holding a safe space for you to discover your authentic self.
