About Freddy Valinia

Farbod “Freddy” Valinia is the owner of Cognizant Mental Health and a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor Intern with a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg, Kentucky. Freddy has experience working with teens and young adults who are struggling with depression, anxiety, and panic disorders. He has been working for Crisis Text Line, an organization that assists in suicide prevention, for the last four years. Freddy also has experience in the field of grief and bereavement, having worked at Seasons Hospice and palliative care. When working with clients, Freddy utilizes the Person-Centered approach, along with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).
