I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist in North Carolina. I have had extensive experience working at outpatient/residential addiction/mental health facilities, assessing and treating those who are struggling with substance abuse, depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, family/relationship issues, self-esteem, and individual challenges adjusting to life changes. I am also able to offer therapy services in Mandarin Chinese.
My treatment approach is person-centered, based on hope, strengths, self-determination and empowerment that has been shaped by the diverse populations I have served throughout my experience and my personal experience of having lived in two different cultures. I utilize an integrative approach of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and motivational interviewing, which is trauma-informed and grounded in strengths perspective.
