About Nicole Ruston

I am a licensed independent Mental Health Counselor and a National Certified Counselor, in Washington State (license# LH 61096513). I received a Master of Science Degree in Counseling Psychology from Chaminade University of Honolulu, Hawaii in 2017 with a concentration in mental health. Prior to this, I earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology, from Hawaii Pacific University in 2014. My professional background involves working with children, adolescents, adults and families dealing with a variety of areas such as Anxiety, Depression, Addiction, ADHD, Domestic Violence, Anger Management, Parenting, Co-Dependency, Eating Disorders, Women’s issues, Health and Nutrition. I have worked in schools, communities, residential, and outpatient settings, in which I have worked with patients and family members to conduct assessments, create treatment plans with interdisciplinary teams, providing resources and support for patients and their families. My experiences have allowed me to work with trauma survivors, ethnically diverse populations, high stress environments, and I feel comfortable responding to unique and challenging situations. As a Therapist, I am is passionate about solving critical challenges, inspiring personal growth, and serving others in need, bringing a strength-based approach to my work, creating a health system that works better for everyone and helps people live healthier, more successful lives.
