About Jo Watson

Hello, I'm Jo, a qualified and experienced counsellor and trauma therapist. It's not easy to find the right therapist so I offer a free 20-minute phone consultation to make sure you feel you feel I am the right fit for you, and I am able to offer evening and weekend appointments to fit in around your life. Trauma can affect the way we are able to function in our life and it can trap us in the past.  Therapy can give you the resources to grow and move forward in your life and I will ensure your safety and stability as we work together.  Counselling is a transformative experience that can help foster greater awareness of ourselves and how and why we might react to situations.  It's also important to say that no problem is too big or too small to benefit from counselling and in our sessions, we will work towards unlocking your full potential and feeling more empowered and resilient.  My experience working within the NHS as a health coach and using art therapeutically has given me a broad view of ways we can improve our mental health alongside talk therapy.  Our physical and mental health are interconnected and we can, should you wish to, look at practical, yet gentle lifestyle improvements, which will help improve your mental health. Therapy is a collaborative process between us and I can work according to your needs. I'm always happy to answer any questions you may have, so please get in touch. Thank you for taking the time to read this introduction.
