You are not your depression or anxiety. You are not your circumstance or what has happened to you in the past. Who you are as a person is separate from these feelings or the things you have done. When we experience depression or anxiety or trauma our filters are off and we can't see the positive. We question our worth and our value. My purpose is to walk beside you to provide and guide you with an authentic and empathetic relationship to help you gain the tools you need in order to feel better.
I have had the honor of walking the path with diverse individuals in in a variety of settings. I have extensive experience in the field, which include counseling with individuals, families, couples, and groups. I am person-centered in my approach. I am also trained in CBT, solution-focused, and am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. I have a clinical interest in trauma and maternal mental health (i.e. pregnancy or postpartum anxiety and/or depression and traumatic births).
It’s okay to get help and I give you permission to feel what you are feeling. You deserve to feel better and you matter. Know that you will not always feel how you feel in this moment. I know it’s scary, but you are not alone in this. I am here to help. As Karen Lamb says, “A year from now you may wish you had started today.” So what do you have to lose?
